I will join you in August, but ONLY if it's on one of the days:

Mon 8
Tue 9
Wed 10
Thu 11
Fri 12 - and preferably not Fri 12
Tue 30
Wed 31

I won't be about at all in August otherwise.

I am about for just about all of September.

It's a pain in the arse if you can't do these dates because I REALLY want to do this!

Edit: It looks to be really inconvenient in August as everyone's on holiday one week or another. September seems much more sensible to me, and there's more chance of more of the Tube working then.

If it's going to happen in August, I'd advise that it doesn't happen on the final 2 Thursdays.

They're the results days for A-Level and GCSE students, meaning the network will be a bit more packed than usual.

I would really like to do this, but only when I can get up there. 24th onwards only for me until ~4th September. Would I be able to join part way through at Waterloo and finish early to get back to Axminster?

First of all - also people in Sweden are both shocked and appalled over the attacks.

I'd very much like to come over and be part of any manifestation in line with this idea!

Generally speaking - the later it will occur the better chance I'll be able to participate - but please don't let me influence your choice of date...

My deepest sympathy with all of you,

So far my team is free any day in August. Why not make it 275 stations, so we can all experience the quite excellent LUL replacement bus service from Hatton Cross. I have a feeling Geoff and Neil will support this as it helps to protect their time.

Let me know........

The issue with September is that alot of the students become instantly ruled out.

Normally, this might make a group challenge that tiny bit easier and less crowded. But this time, it's more about the sponsorship than breaking the record.

I would personally suggest doing it in August, purely because I'm sure the total raised would be higher.

That, and I might not be able to get time off in September..

I took my team down to Heathrow to try out the new bus service. The bus is usually quite empty, and takes 4 minutes each way. The only bad thing is the bus unloads at departures, so you have to go through the terminal to arrivals and out to the bus stops there to get back into town. From Hatton Cross the whole thing takes about 9 minutes.

Sorry guys, I'm away all August, I'll donate something or other though.
What would I know? - I'm from Yorkshire for starters...

Geoff: If I remember correctly the first train of the morning leaves from Hammersmith (H&C); which if we're not planning on making record attempts would give a bit longer to get around all the stations. Of course, this would need a rather different looking route!

Oh, for a timetable book for the whole tube...

Why not start there (T4)?

Hi,
I was already planning to do a real challenge attempt on either of the xxth/xxth August so I would be happy to replace it with this. I will be free to do it on any weekday from Tuesday 9th - Friday 12th Aug; Tuesday 16th - Friday 19th Aug; Monday 22nd Aug - Thursday 1st September.
Unfortunately I go to school so anytime after September 1st I will not be able to participate.
Thanks anyway
Jonny
