Barry Island is also artificially conjoined to the mainland...

Portsea Island is unquestionably an island, only linked by man-made structures to the mainland, with a continuous, navigable, saltwater channel in between.

Portsmouth Lakeside parkrun is in the part of the City of Portsmouth that's not on Portsea Island.

I didn't notice Barry Island when I scanned the parkrun map. Apparently Barry Island used to be an island, but it's now just a peninsula, having been reconnected to the mainland by land (not just a bridge).

I was a little surprised that there's no parkruns on any Scottish islands or on Anglesey.

If you change the question to 'UK and Ireland' there's the magnificent looking Bere Island.

That does look spectacular. A parkrun on an island with a population of just over 200.

They'd have more tourists at the first run than have ever been one the island at the same time before!

I must say I wasn't feeling my best when I left the hotel but the 2.75 mile warm up helped loads.

The spreadsheet update will be a bit late this week, due to one thing or another. Should have it done at some point tomorrow.

OK, spreadsheet is done. Is nine people at one parkrun a record, or did we have ten once? Anyway, a wide range of times on display, and Iain didn't forget his barcode!

I was working, so my 50th run will be this Saturday. Might go to Exeter for a nice flat run.

And two at Finsbury Park and I bet that neither knew that the other was there!

I seem to be missing from the 'near the finish' pics (the first two pages), although my bald spot features nicely in one of the mass start pics.
