It was nice to get back on the original Plymvalley course today. Muddy as hell though, and I wore the wrong shoes so I could have been faster. But whatever - 25:16 (according to my watch) will do me.

Wasn't feeling it this morning, would've been happy with a 30-32 minute time, but having a pacer and someone to race against for a sprint finish saw me manage to knock six seconds off my previous PB!

Well, Southampton is not an easy course. I swear most of it is uphill, especially on the alternate course today. There were over 800 finishers.

Plan* to get to 20 locations:
16 April: Lee-on-the-Solent
23 April: Fareham
30 April: Portsmouth Lakeside inaugural
7 May: Southsea if sub-surface challenge is on 14 May, otherwise somewhere new TBD
14 May: Hopefully somewhere new in London if sub-surface challenge is on, otherwise Southsea

* It's a plan. It could always change. I've already edited it once because I forgot about the sub-surface challenge. :)

I might be changing my mind about Fareham if it's been at all rainy:

http://www.parkrun.org.uk/fareham/news/ Scroll down to the picture.

Fareham's course is that narrow pretty much the whole way round... and it's an out and back run! Still, they did get more than 200 runners around it on their first attempt, so well done to the organisers/volunteers.

Very much like Bedfont Lakes for at least 6 months of the year, had to run through several of those today following last nights downpour, trainers outside drying now and mud splashed gear was put straight in washing machine at 1000 am

Is that relevant to where you ran *this* week?
