Here are some guesses
Edgware Road (Bakerloo Line)?
Question seems abstract

Much in the same vein
Paddington (Hammersmith &
City Line). Too long.

i concur with you,
edgware road (bakerloo line)
would certainly fit

but on the roundel
it only says "edgware road"
so that can't be it

what I had in mind

Okay, it's a bit
of a cheat really, but the
sign at the entrance

does say, I believe:
"EDGWARE ROAD (BAKERLOO LINE)"
(but I could be wrong)
"This train is for King George the Fifth. So you can't go on it."
