I'm sticking with my season-long option; it's more about qualifying here than it is in Monaco. Do you think I could have done a better job than Herman Tilke?

Time to start up the random number generator of doom!

We finally had our first repeat winner in the 2012 F1 season, and in the predictions game, we have shared winners. The pair of highest scorers this round are greatkingrat and Kuroto (my girlfriend), with 119 points each. Garion is still top. Things could have been very different, but a number of drivers dropped out from good positions. In my eyes that detracted from the race a little, but it was still the best that Valencia has ever given us.

The next round is Britain in two weeks' time.

as someone who missed out the start, can I join in at this late stage, or just watch from the grandstand?

Yep, Raven is right. New players are always welcome. It's too late to enter for the British Grand Prix now, but you can take part in the remaining 11 rounds of the season :) The links you need are all in my signature.

As of the British Grand Prix, Mark Webber has won two races this season. Who'da thunk it? Not us, clearly; not a single one of us has picked him to win a race all season so far.

Hopeful traveller has gone one better than Webber by winning his third round of the season, which has allowed him to narrow the gap to Garion at the top of the standings to just four points.

The next round is Germany, in a fortnight's time.

My random picking program must be fixed in some way - it loves picking numbers 7, 14 and 25. It has never picked number 1.

Maybe I need to change the random number choosing process a bit, so that it isn't so "predictable".

Alonso now looks a strong favourite to take the driver's championship after another victory, his third of the season. I thought the race in Germany was pretty entertaining.

Greatkingrat scored the most points for the round, at 119. Hopeful traveller has now taken the overall lead from Garion, outscoring him by 18 points this time.

The next round, the Hungarian Grand Prix, is as soon as next weekend! I'll be posting a reminder on Thursday, but that doesn't always seem to work for all of you, so why not enter right now?

To keep the lead until now is pretty quite impressive...I'm pleased with myself :P

I'm somewhat impressed by listening to Senna this weekend - he's got the speed in that Williams on the high-downforce circuits such as Barcelona, Valencia, Monaco, Hungary and Singapore. I'd like to see him or Michael Schumacher take pole. On the other hand, Maldonado doesn't deserve to be in F1.

Come on, let's have Barrichello back in that Williams seat!
