I bought some new go-faster leggings, and they propelled me to my first sub-26 time at Mount Edgcumbe. I took 47 seconds off my course best.

Well, the spreadsheet is updated. It was a Northala Fields day out today, and not a single PB anywhere. I got a course best at Mount Edgcumbe, taking 47 seconds off my previous best. I have no idea how I managed that. Please explain.

The leggings made no difference, and so although it is unlikely that it was in your head, it could have been.tubeguru wrote:Well, the spreadsheet is updated. Most likely course knowledge you now know where to push and where to save energy.tubeguru wrote:Well, the spreadsheet is updated. It was a Northala Fields day out today, and not a single PB anywhere. Yes, I was wary of the places to push. I had a kid in front of me most of the way, and he kept putting on spurts to stay ahead of me. I got him in the end, and at the finish he told me he kept blacking out!nozzacook wrote:Most likely course knowledge you now know where to push and where to save energy.tubeguru wrote:Well, the spreadsheet is updated. Maybe if you got off your arse on a Saturday morning and went for a 5K run, you might find out for yourself.A Challenge wrote:The leggings made no difference, and so although it is unlikely that it was in your head, it could have been.
