Shoreditch by bus. G&N record to stand a little longer?

With regard to the new map, anyone else think that the changed layout of the Jubilee at Waterloo is very ugly?

It's the same one that Geoff took a photo of - seemingly unavailable on the web, but in every station that I've bothered to check so far. It also has more detailed notes for station closures and replacement buses, station opening times and accessibility information. Look out for it when you're next on the tube.

Edit: This isn't the right map, but it has the same layout for the Jubilee line between Westminster and London Bridge as I am trying to refer to:

I am now going to get told off for not being inclusive, but what I really don't like are the signs for step free access stations, if you compare the East End of the District line it is all full of blobs, not the more pleasing ticks.

I have today heard from Guinness - they have given me a full set of rules for our attempt.

Unfortunately, there is NO MENTION WHATSOEVER of Shoreditch.

I have submitted an enquiry.

Back in the mid '60's, when Finsbury Park station was being rebuilt to accommodate the Victoria Line, I remember there was a replacement bus service between Drayton Park & Finsbury Park on what was then the Northern Line. I even travelled on it, once, just for the fun of it. Now - and here's the similarity with the Shoreditch position - London Transport continued to operate this replacement bus service for a considerable time, even though the route was going to be handed over to British Rail, and LT trains would never run between these stations again.

I'm guessing now, but I suppose that LT had an obligation to provide a replacement bus service until BR started running its own GN suburban trains to Moorgate.

Likewise, I'm guessing LUL still has an obligation to provide a replacement bus service to Shoreditch, possibly until the new Shoreditch station reopens. So - until then - Shoreditch may still technically be part of the tube network, even though you'll never be able to travel there on a tube train again. Just like Drayton Pk - Finsbury Pk was still part of the tube network for the best part of a decade after the last tube train ran.

And, therefore, as I understand the current GWR rules, this means tube challengers WILL have to go to Shoreditch, via the replacement bus service, just as for Heathrow T4.

Personally, I think visiting either T4 or Shoreditch as part of a challenge is silly, but rules is rules, and if you want that record....

But by trying to draw a similarity between T4 and Shoreditch you actually expose the difference - one is shut permenatly and one is shut temporailly.
