Should TfL Rail be a separate category, combined with the Overground, or left as part of National Rail? I guess at the moment it doesn't matter too much as Liverpool Street is the only station in Zones 1+2 at present.

Once the full Crossrail service opens there will be some interesting decisions to be taken about what is a separate station. If you can get from Farringdon LU to Farringdon Crossrail to Barbican LU without passing through a barrier is it 1, 2 or 3 stations?

I think the precedent for this has been set by Bank/Monument and the DLR, and also with King's Cross St Pancras.

1) If the Crossrail station is called Farringdon, then it's part of Farringdon LU if you don't pass through a barrier
2) If the Crossrail station is called Barbican, then it's part of Barbican LU if you don't pass through a barrier
3) If the Crossrail station is called anything else, then it comes under its own category
4) If the Crossrail station is behind different barriers, it comes under its own category

I'm expecting to include TFL Rail as a separate category when I get round to it (ideally soon) which will then be retired as soon as Crossrail starts which will lead to "Liverpool Street (TFL)" ceasing to exist as the barrier situation may differ.

Now updated to include the recent changes to London Overground (i.e. Chingford etc., the existence of TFL Rail, and a North / South of the Thames selector because of the upcoming R15 twist round.

I presume this will be updated with the rezoning of Stratford International -> Canning Town?

All updated. Thanks Tangy for the help making the changes.

Dalston Junction and Dalston Kingsland are in the wrong zone (they're in 2, not 3).

I'm new here - do have to visit them in the order they come up? I'm thinking about doing my own challenge, but this would be quite easy if you didn't have to do them in order! The stations were (in the order they came up);

Hounslow West
Rayners Lane
Hammersmith (D,P)
West Acton
Hounslow Central
Hornchurch
Farringdon
Bermondsey
Brent Cross
Greenford
Russell Square
Bethnal Green
Hounslow East
Gants Hill

Of course you don't!! It wouldn't be a challenge if you did!!

That looks like a ridiculously easy set for a Z1-6 LU only, plus there's only 14.

Didn't put Z1-6 only, didn't exclude and I copied and pasted the route so accidentally missed out Queensbury, making it 15. Think I must just have been lucky! :D

The other thing is Stratford International NR - it hasn't been moved to boundary 2/3 with the other stations on the S'ford Int'l branch of the DLR.

I was not sure whether the High Speed station was re-allocated from zone 3 to zone 2/3 (with it being a premium service) until I checked the station page of the National Rail site earlier today, which confirmed it is a boundary 2/3 station. Hence the random generator database needs updating to reflect this.
