OK, I'm meeting G-Force and Moley at Whitechapel at about 8pm so we can work out if this rumour about the last train being for officials and guests only is true.

Don't get caught out by being late folks ...

Chelle and I might join you there and then, if that's OK, but don't wait for us if we're late, as it wouldn't really be very good of us to hold you up.

You don't need my permission to come to Whitechapel :-)

See you there.

Surely if the service is shown on TFL Journey Planner it must be for public use as well :?

From the Underground History forum:

"apparently there's going to be a ceremony tonight to chain up the station doors for the last time. Also, I've heard that there's going to be a ceremonial special last train after the last public train.

I've also been told that if there are any points problems tonight, if at all possible the points will be operated manually. "

Guess that the last train will be after the last public train.

So we'll still be taking the last public train, unless we can somehow wangle our way onto the executive train?

If not, we all get out at Whitechapel and pelt the special train with rotten fruit.

Surely the concept of 'special train' is an oxymoron for TFL?
