tube challenge darts away day in summer
tube challenge darts away day in summer
Right up comes the case of having an away day for the tube darts league the last three have been extremely popular so does anybody have any ideas of a town non london central may i suggest although i liked worthing (the current tube challenger whom lives there is no longer a regular poster on forum so it be nice to have a change)
suggestions Worthing,Milton Keynes,Sweden (only if hakan would agree to this if he still on forum) (czechlosvakia cheap beer and to tie this up with possible 12 countries in 24 hours record attempt?) bournemouth,Harrow on the hill,Walthamstow, penzance?
feel free to chip in with any suggestions

Re: tube challenge darts away day in summer
I thought maybe Worthing but other way around, start at Ye Olde House at home ( this was shut last year for function) then head to "Soup" and Dragon maybe SD could book darts board /area from around 5pm? This is then short walk to West Worthing station... Maybe to coincide with the Bus Rally on the Sunday.....

Well we need to make a decision quick. Some of us might want to book train tickets/B&B's.

Re: tube challenge darts away day in summer
I'd love to come but I'm going to be away in either Spain or Italy from the 2nd, so I will need to be packing that day and won't have the time to come all the way down from East Anglia. Really feeling sad for missing some great time to play some darts with good friends

Re: tube challenge darts away day in summer
Yes it is Worthing this year which means next year it won't be for example costs are so high I looked at it and decided to go back for example accommodation not good unless planned well in advance 4 months minimum at least.
So suggestions in advance for 2016 Worthing not an option

I am in and I am aiming to come to Worthing for nothing (though it does mean about a 0530 start).

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

Re: tube challenge darts away day in summer
How did you guess it would involve a cross country bus journey? That is what I am going to do but on a routeing a bit further west than the A23 corridor... already done the 405, 100 and 23 full route. My plan involves routes I haven't yet travelled upon, which is as below:greatkingrat wrote:Let me guess?

Victoria line to Vauxhall
0616 SWT to Kingston 0640
0659 515 to Guildford 0811
0845 70 to Midhurst 0955
1030 1 to Worthing Pier 1158 (also stops on the A24 at Broadwater at 1150).
So yes, 5 hours to get between Kingston and Worthing!
