Notice that Shoreditch is not closing PERMANENTLY - it is closing INDEFINITELY. While this may be a small discretion, I suppose it does leave the opportunity to re-open it at some point in the future. If Guinness do insist on the replacement bus, this may be the reason.

I really, really hope we don't have to use it! Using T4 replacement bus is difficult enough.

As the site of the station will be demolished, they'll have to build a new one on the ELL to reopen it.

In which case, it won't even be on the tube anyway!

I wouldn't count on Guinness to make a sensible decision, so I'm going to keep an eye on this until I do hear final word from Guinness.

The record is "All London Underground stations in the shortest time".

Shoreditch is shortly to close, whereupon it will NEVER be a Tube station again. It WILL NOT be on the Tube network ever again. It WILL NOT be included in the record! It WILL NOT BE A LONDON UNDERGROUND STATION, and you will NOT have to visit it!!!!!!!

Whoever started propagating all this ridiculous worry is a FOOL.

If Guinness deem it to still be a Tube station when it clearly isn't, I'll eat my hat - and I warn you, it's quite a hat!

Now that's enough for me in this banal discussion.

As I understand it "root" has put this very question to GWR and expects an answer any day now (4-6 weeks after posting) and he's promised to keep this forum posted on the GWR position.

I've already told you in another post - because the people who use it need to be reminded that it's going and they need to be eased into the new bus service.

If LU just close it and remove it you'll get the usual idiots who claim they weren't told.
