The Long Walk: All 270 stations
Having walked from Chesham Moor Park a few weeks ago, I'm now planning to walk to all 270 stations. This Sunday I'm hoping to walk from Watford North Harrow. Anyone else is more than welcome to join in.

That's impossible. You can't visit all 270 stations in 168 hours without using public transport.

That's easily possible. You can use a car (sorry, but the loophole was a bit too large to simply ignore). The Raven wrote:That's impossible. You can't visit all 270 stations in 168 hours without using public transport.
Barring the use of any form of transport other than feet (which I'm sure is what you meant), I'll agree that Heathrow, Upminster, Epping and the aforementioned Chesham/Amersham would make this difficult.
Suggest you make it North Harrow West Harrow Harrow-on-the-Hill

I'd agree that your average mortal couldn't do this, but, with a suitable route, an extreme runner such as this guy might be able to.The Raven wrote:That's impossible. You can't visit all 270 stations in 168 hours without using public transport.

You might possibly be able to visit 269 stations without using public transport, but there is no way (legally) to get to Heathrow 123 on foot.

Re: The Long Walk: All 270 stations
Oh how horribly depressing. However, if we redefine the challenge as "travel the entire network without paying any money", then it is possible - buses from the last stop before the Heathrow Tunnel to the terminals are free simply because it's not possible to walk to those parts of Heathrow.greatkingrat wrote:You might possibly be able to visit 269 stations without using public transport, but there is no way (legally) to get to Heathrow 123 on foot.

There does seem to be a walkway, but it is probably only intended for emergency use.
