Cannon Street Run VII, Weds 19th September

Post by Going Underground »

Avast Ye Swabs and Shiver me Timbers

Bosun Brown here with our sailing date for ye scurvy land lubber dogs for the annual hoisting of the Jolly Roger to sail the choppy waters of the London Underground....

This time of year is fast approaching again and "Talk like a Pirate" day is 19th September
Previous Cannon Street runs have been;
2006 (Z1)
2007 (Bottle)
2008 (R15)
2009 (Mouse)
2010 (All Lines)
2011 (The game of 2 halves)

This year will be Roads, Streets, Lanes (see link)
http://www.tubeforum.co.uk/forum/index. ... =viewtopic
Also we now have Wood Lane to add to these.

Meeting / Sailing time will be 1745-1800 hrs if possible and you MUST finish at Mornington Crescent

Post challenge meet up point is McD's at Warren Street

Should be able to attend. So it's just the "Streets", "Roads", "Lanes", "Avenues" and "Cresents" that need to be visited?

Wasn't it the Parks challenge where you ended up in hospital?

I could do an evening challenge on 19th Sept, but not an all day challenge.

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

I finish school that day at 10:25, so I can do a challenge as long as I have time to get down to London afterwards. Preferably in the evening so I have some scouting time first!

Is everyone happy with "Roads, Streets and Lanes" etc then :?: Also the Mornington Crescent finish OK?

If so I propose an 1830hrs start unless anyone thinks slightly earlier?

The problem with Roads/Streets/Lanes is that it is a bit too long for a evening challenge really. It could easily be 11pm before we finish, and then you have to get back to the meeting point.

Unfortunately we have already used all of the challenges that can be easily done in an evening.

OK just ran a quick route through JP and with the Mornington Crescent finish the time was just under 4 1/2 hours.....

Therefore I propose a 1745-1800 meet/start time and post challenge meet at McDonalds at Warren Street and this is near the finish and fairly central as well......

Please confirm if this will be possible for you?
