Rare Entries XV- Milton Keynes

Post by tractakid »

Answers may be found from online sources, questions with an asterisk use the 2012 official city atlas (Heron publishing) as a source, (an outdated version IS (legally) browsable online), although the information should be researchable elsewhere. 'Milton Keynes' is defined to be the urban area inside the original 1967 designated area boundary, not the unitary authority of the same name.

1) Name a railway station currently in operation in Milton Keynes.
2) Name a lake situated in Milton Keynes*
3) Name an even numbered vertical grid road in Milton Keynes (give the name and number)*
4) Name a roundabout where 2 horizontal or 2 vertical grid roads meet in Milton Keynes.*
5) Name a settlement found in the Domesday Book who's location is inside Milton Keynes.
6) Name any act to have played the National Bowl since the beginning of 2011 (headline or support)
7) Name one of the estates in Milton Keynes, beginning with K (Estates are usually, not always, 1 grid square)*
8) Name a classified A or B road within Milton Keynes*
9) Name any of the football managers of the MK Dons, since the name change.
10) Name any shop in the Centre MK or Midsummer Place shopping centres that offers bra fitting.

Apologies to Sam, who I incorrectly informed had a full set of correct answers- initially I made the (I assume) same mistake that she did when reading about Jamiroquai on the Wiki.

Going Underground- feel free to dispute the Domesday question- the source i'm using (http://domesdaymap.co.uk/) doesn't have it listed. This is the question I was least confident marking. Having a glance at your answers- I assumed it would be correct hence my previous post.

Going Underground, Sam- 10,368
Scrxisi- 20,736
Jamesthegill- 442,368

I was going to ask you to show me a map of the "boundary" of MK outside of which Bradwell Lake resides, but as I've won I'm wondering if I can be bothered.

OK, go on - prove to me that it's outside the "boundary", as you define it.
