Sam vs Matt
Today for some random reason, we decided that splitting the team was a good idea!!
So, on Friday 21st October 2011, it will be Sam vs Matt. We are currently creating new routes and will share no information on the routes! Just to prove who is the better challenger out of us...
We are both looking for support but of course, this could prove difficult!!!

You'll each have to do 50 attempts each, so we have a sizeable sample to get our data from.

When you say "looking for support", do you want us to take sides, then make flags and scarves with your names written on them and wave them around whenever you reach a station?

Re: Sam vs Matt
I think we should openly declare our support for one or the other, thus annoying the one who gets the fewest votes.

I could do that, but due to certain demeanours (age, too early, age, too late but not school ( ), age) probably not.Sam wrote:It's a one race, winner takes alltubeguru wrote:You'll each have to do 50 attempts each, so we have a sizeable sample to get our data from.

It's a shame that Matt won't be on here to see all the love and adulation directed his way...tubeguru wrote:I think we should openly declare our support for one or the other, thus annoying the one who gets the fewest votes.

Re: Sam vs Matt
Just an update, this attempt is still going ahead on Friday. Right now, neither of us have a route or any motivation to sit down and try and calculate a competitive one so I can't see the record even coming close to being beaten!
Another factor is of course, the leaf fall timetable which means a Chesham start has a very dicey connection at Amersham which if I remember rightly was often missed on attempts last year so an alternative starting station may well be used!

Re: Sam vs Matt
Right, I have finally finalised my route and it is actually far more competitive for the record than I ever imagined!! My Leg seems to be feeling better today, maybe sprinting through Whitechapel at 2327 last night helped!! Just need to make sure I get to bed early tonight as I am extremely tired, 22 and 1/2 hour day was a tad mental yesterday
