Re: Rare Entries Quiz VII
Explain to me the bit in question 10 where you limited the English national side to the men's one? Because as far as I can see, Ms Gillian Coultard has got 119 caps for England. You were specific for question 9, but non-specific for question 10.
Holder of the slowest recorded 274 attempt: 4 months, 1 day, 9 hours, 17 minutes, 32 seconds.

Re: Rare Entries Quiz VII
In general conversation, 'The England Team' is taken to mean the men's senior side. If you listen to sports reports etc., the men's senior side is always referred to as 'The England Team', whilst any other side (women's included) is always specified.jamesthegill wrote:Explain to me the bit where you limited the English national side to the men's one? Then why specify "the Men's national team" in one question and leave it non-specific in another?uefacup81 wrote:In general conversation, 'The England Team' is taken to mean the men's senior side. Re: Rare Entries Quiz VII
The meaning carried over, in the same way as it would have done if I'd have put 'for the team'.
I'm sorry but I'm not budging on this one.
