Hmm, not sure that having a negative definition of CCTV is right - it can be the Tube Challenger's greatest friend.

Under some freedom of information act (I cannot remember which one) you can demand a copy of any video tape footage that may include you up to 30 days after you were filmed by said CCTV camera.

It is perfect evidence for backing up any world record attempt: after an attempt simply tell TfL which stations you were at at which times, and they are legally obliged to provide you with all the evidence you need to verify your claim.

I did suggest to GWR that this could be submittied evidence, and whilst they agreed, they said that they would not do the asking!
