My friend in university earlier mentioned something earlier about a tube station being shut for some expansion works. I did a quick search on BBC London and found this:

It was briefly refered to here. Finally the media catch-up!
Credit goes to Diamond Geezer as it was he who first spotted that it had appeared on the list of closed stations.
The irony is that it has sod all effect on the Central Line. The Bond Street references are a non-story with regard to the Tube works.

The Central Line seems to be struggling at the moment. It was completely suspended for a number of hours yesterday and has fallen over again already this morning (major signalling systems failure). I had been planning to do some reconnaisance of Central Line changes and connections yesterday, but gave up.
