Re: Birmingham April 2nd
I think Andi is referring to the one organised by the RailUK forums at http://www.railforums.co.uk. It is on the Forum Meets section of the forum, which you can only see if registered. And they want you to say if you are going, so if you do want to go, I think you need to register (if you haven't already) on the RailUK forum (for that reason, I won't post any more details here - there is a list of rules, etc. there). I also post as JoeGJ1984 on that forum and will be going to this event.

Sounds interesting, I'm tempted to pop up to Birmingham and give it a go.

I managed 13 stations in "the Birmingham area" today on my way to Hereford. Do I win a prize?

I miscounted - I did 17. Surely that counts for something.

Fame at last. Actually, it sounds like a good idea. I assume they quantified what they meant by the "Birmingham area"?

I should also be attending this event but can't confirm my attendence until about a week before hand. This is somewhat of a weird crossover - I'm friends with a number of the administrators on RailUK and in fact went out for a meal with them last night - I hadn't spotted you on the other forum Joe!

Well I haven't posted all that much there. The reason why I linked to RailUK is that they want people to confirm attendance and I didn't want people from here turning up unannounced.Mitchell&BrownLook wrote:I should also be attending this event but can't confirm my attendence until about a week before hand. Re: Birmingham April 2nd
I know that when I previously publicised the Mersey Rail challenge the moderators were happy for me to promote the event here and to allow for members to "sign up" here - I've texted one to check that this is still OK.
I've got to admit that I do like the sounds of an elite team of tube challengers taking on and beating the many railway fans - at their own challenge!!!
