You still wouldn't get any points: the Kiev–Vladivostok service is longer than your answer of the Trans-Siberian Express, which is from Moscow to Vladivostok. I think the Moscow-Pyongang service might be longest in terms of time, but I'm not sure of that.jamesthegill wrote:Hang on a minute. There's nothing in your original question that mentions anything about the journey being in the UK.

That's fine, I don't mind losing points for being *wrong* - it's losing points for the goalposts moving/the question not being clear that I don't like.Root wrote:You still wouldn't get any points: the Kiev–Vladivostok service is longer than your answer of the Trans-Siberian Express, which is from Moscow to Vladivostok. Aww, go on Tangy, it's only a bit of fun after all! I only saw your reminder on the 26th and assumed you meant 2000hrs on the 26th... it's not as if I've seen the answers or anythingtangy wrote:The date/time on your PM read 26th March 2010, 16:38 and the deadline was 25th March 2010, 20:00. In other words you were too late and your entry is not counted.uefacup81 wrote:I entered too!

They are as follows:tubeguru wrote:So what are thre scores then?
--greatkingrat: nine (Q4 incorrect)
--barrykas: the full ten points
--tubeguru: eight (Q2 and 9 incorrect)
--jamesthegill: six (Q2, 4, 5 and 9 incorrect)
--scrxisi: eight (Q4 and 5 incorrect)
--rhubarbrhubarb: eight (Q2 and 9 incorrect)
So adding these scores to those obtained in round one gives the following:
--tubeguru (18)
--scrxisi (18)
--greatkingrat (14)
--jamesthegill (10)
Anyone wish to have part III?

This is a Central line train to "Woodford via Hainault"- sadly, not no more!

Re: Tangy's rail brainbenders II (terminated)
Just for completeness, here are the answers from uefacup81 (which wouldn't of earned him many points anyway).
1. Dunbar
2. Liverpool St - Aldgate (Circle Line)... Start at beginning of service on NYE and ride until close of service on New Year's Day; 44 hour journey (approx).
3. That bit that links the loco to the cars
4. 291.5
5. 3.14
6. Class 320
7. Some bees came
8. Sodor branch line
9. None
0. The schematic is different

Re: Tangy's rail brainbenders II (terminated)
The Circle is as you know is no longer a full circle, it now has a terminus, so you can no longer go round and round! A journey counts from the start terminus to the the end terminus, so would get to Hammersmith, where that partuicular journey ends.

Even before the extension to Hammersmith, wouldn't it have been very unlikely for one train to stay on the Circle Line and go round and round and round and round and rou.... sorry got distracted there.
