The connection we're talking about being Wimbledon to Morden, which the TfL Journey Planner gives as taking 41 minutes at "Average" walking pace, which I'd say is about right for a walk of just under 2 miles.

You can, of course, do Wimbledon to South Wimbledon on foot, but that means doubling back on the tube to "do" Morden.

Cheers,

The one I ordered from Fotopic.net arrived today. Lovely and "soft" Polycotton Shirt, and it looks good too.

Cheers,

Good stuff.. I really want my T-Shirt now!

I probably shouldn't say this, but when Neil & I did that bit, the doors opened on our arriving train at Wimbledon, and we were leaving Morden eleven and a half minutes later ... so that's your target! :-)

But allowing 15-20 minutes is a fair target.

It is a very nice shirt. The log looks great. I wished I would have ordered a large instead of medium but I havent decided which I will wear. I have three now. Two with the old blurred not afraid tube challenge logo and my badge (star and crescent) on the back . I think I may wear the blurred one. I'll show ya'll and then decide. I am bringing all three anyway in the event someone needs one.

Trying to work out how light I can possibly travel now.. my right arm has chosen this week to flare up and is now out of action.. wearing a ruck sack will be impossible so just trying to work out what else I can actually carry!

Blasted stupid arm!

Don't forget you could offload a couple of bits with the Euston support team, but not too much!

I'll be taking a rucksack packed full of goodies. I'll take much more than I normally do on an attempt as i'll be walking, not running - remember?

Can also thoroughly recommend taking some <a href="http://www.ciao.co.uk/Vaseline_Pure_Pet ... aseline</a> along for any nipple rub, rucksack rub, or blisters that you might get!

Will you and Neil be wearing your "Do all 274 real men" t-shirts that you wore on Zone 1 day, whilst carrying along some vaseline. People might get the wrong idea you know!

Going back to Wimbledon-Morden issue. Looking in the A-Z, it is approx 1.5km on foot between Wimbledon and South Wimbledon. At a 10kph running speed (the speed at which I run), that would take 9minutes. At a fast walking speed I would make that about 15minutes. You would then need at add a bit of time for traffic lights, getting from the surface to the platforms, and waiting for the train. You would then have to travel both into and out of Morden, of which travelling in can be very slow progress as the trains queue to get through the crossover. Walking or running from Wimbledon to Morden is considerably longer (3km+), and would just be plain stupid.

I don't know whether anyone has ever told you this, but you have a very dirty mind  lol

Fimb, if we are all in little teams then that solves your rucksack problem - if you feel able to just get all your stuff to Amersham it can be parcelled out to the rest of your squad :)

I appear to have allowed a stonking 26 minutes, but then I am expecting to arrive at Wimbledon just after a tram leaves -- obvious room for improvement there!

Ooh, that's just reminded me to check the weather for this week:

It's going to be between 19 and 22 degress all week, mainly sunny and dry.

Mainly sunny and dry all week huh?!

My umbrella isn't agreeing this morning!

Thanks for the suggestions re; carrying stuff everyone. I'm just so annoyed that its chosen this week to have a bad flare up (I have bad nerve damage in that arm which causes rather intense pain during a flare up)..

Nice breeze too. Should make the event quite pleasant.
