GWR - NEWS IS IMMINENT! What does that mean?
Anxiously awaiting word from Guinness World Records
TM ...
As per late this afternoon they still state:
GWR wrote: The current record for "Record time all London Underground stations" is:
Håkan Wolgé and Lars Andersson (both Sweden) travelled through all 275 stations on the London Underground network in a time of 18 hr 25 min 03 sec on 26 September 2006.
BTW I personally truly acknowledge the fact that I and Lars were beaten fair and square on 25-July-2007 by the Brown/Starkey clan...
Three times Zone 1 Challenge winner
Official record holder in the 2008 Guinness Book of Records, pg 199

I spoke to Guinness last Friday and they said to expect an email by Monday. Well the email finally came today, and the claim is still pending, they need a bit more details on witness statements (from the starter and finisher), also they are unable to play the video-DVD we sent them, which showed some of the runs that Jamie filmed. I guess it will now take a couple more weeks to get what is required. So for the moment Håkan Wolgé and Lars Andersson are still official record holders!
Of course on Friday we have the added benefit of "Pudsey Power" so no doubt a time of sub 18 hours will be possible.
One day I shall return!
