Not that I really wish bad luck for anyone, but I wouldn't mind terribly if things don't improve until either the 11th or the 25th.
Having said that, GOOD LUCK to jonny and tangy as well as the "Tube 5" gang...

Don't worry Hakan, everytime we suffer a slight problem or delay during a challenge we always blame you. Your ears must burn so much as we curse you.hwolge wrote:Not that I really wish bad luck for anyone, but I wouldn't mind terribly if things don't improve until either the 11th or the 25th.

Well we aim to please jonny!
As Soup Dragon said I hope things clear up in the next few weeks for our GWR attempt. As I have been saying to Going Underground in the last few days, there has been so many security alerts and fire alerts (caused by the threat of terrorism, not TFL) we stand no chance of getting that record.

Delays:
Signal failure is exactly what it says on the time - a failure of the signal - normally a problem with a blown bulb.
Singalling problem - either a SPAD or a problem involving more than one signal/interlooking with points/
Points failure - a problem affecting the mechanical opperation of the points.
Communications Failure - problem affecting train radio or tunnel communications.
Train Failure - a delay of more than 5 minutes involving a single train.
Person under a train - .........

Although the above says that "signalling problems" could mean a SPAD it does not mean that ALL "signalling problems" are SPADs.
And quite separately from all of this, train drivers are not stupid. Take some time to research what it takes to become a train driver, either for LUL or a National Rail TOC, and you may reform your opinions.
