In case anyone's interested, Deltic 55022 "Royal Scots Grey" is heading a railtour from King's Cross to Scotland this weekend.
It is currently running light as we speak from Bo'ness to Old Oak Common, arriving at about 19.40 this evening. At the time of posting this post, it should have been somewhere between Carstairs and Abington southbound.
The railtour leaves King's Cross tomorrow morning at 07.55 and will return at 21:58 on Monday evening.
I was considering going out tonight in search of it as it makes its way to OOC but I'm going to go to King's Cross on Monday evening instead.
For those who are interested, 55002's route into OOC depot this evening is as follows:

Next Wednesday, EWS are running a charter from Marylebone up to Wrexham and return. Nothing interesting in terms of haulage, but I think it might be a press run for the Wrexham, Shropshire & Marylebone proposal.
Empty working is from Wembley, if memory serves, with the outward working running as 1Z05 and the return as 1Z06, before the set heads off ECS to Toton Yard.
Timings have yet to appear in TRUST, however.

Disaster!
55022 has sent one of its pistons through the crankcase in one of its engines and has been taken off the tour.
This means it won't be making the return journey to KC, so now I can't get a photo of it - bugger!

Anyone wanting to go to King's Cross to see the tour return tonight will probably be able to see 55022 anyway, as reports are that it is being hauled "dead in train", with 40145 at the front.
Photos from the tour show the crankcase completely blown open by the piston rod shooting out - it's not a pretty sight.
Due back into King's Cross at 21.50 this evening - probably platform 1 off the top of my head but don't quote me on that.
