Is there a current, official, definitive set of rules that answers such questions (such as Saturdays, GoPros, etc.)?

If I remember correctly, the rules at one point said a challenge was invalid on Saturdays as some of the stations weren't open (Chancery Lane?). When TfL started opening stations all week, they never updated the rules. The Browns then did an attempt on a Saturday, and it was disqualified as being "unfair on other competitors". This is one of the reasons several of the more established members of the forum are not fans of Guinness and their management of the record.

It's not so much a case that particular stations aren't open on a Saturday as that it is very rare for there to be a Saturday when there is no engineering work somewhere on the network.

And personally I think that the difficulty of Olympia is part of the challenge. To my mind doing the challenge on a Saturday when Olympia has a 20 minute service is outside the spirit of it.

I still miss timing my challenge attempts to coincide with major exhibitions at Olympia so there would be a regular weekday service. This current situation is a little too restricted for my taste, but each to their own
