After watching the flypast in Hyde Park this afternoon, I decided to have a go at the Alphabet Challenge.
Starting from ALDGATE at 15:00, I travelled up to Liverpool Street, then on the Central Line via BANK and CHANCERY LANE to Bond Street, and changed to the Jubilee Line to DOLLIS HILL. On the way up, I deliberated whether to double back at DH or continue up to Wembley Park and catch the Met there, hopefully overhauling the train I would otherwise have caught at DH on the way back down towards London. Seeing no train in the other platform at DH, I opted for the latter course of action, only for a southbound train to pull in just after my northbound train left. I then had a lengthy wait for a southbound Met at Wembley Park, which left me four trains down on where I would have been had I caught the earlier train from DH, although I overtook at least two of those on the southbound journey back towards Baker Street. Then on through EUSTON SQUARE to FARRINGDON, where I found myself with a 12 minute wait for the next service to Uxbridge. At this point I decided to abandon the attempt, although I did call at GREAT PORTLAND STREET on the way back to Paddington, making 7 stations in 1 hour 15 minutes.
