One option, then might be to attempt NW start-Heathrow finish, but with a hotel room booked at Heathrow overnight. If you complete, good, you've got a comfy room for a night's sleep before you head home. If you've had to skip stations, then provided you've managed to get to LHR, you can go back and do the skipped stations the next day.
