How about a bus alphabet challenge? Doing at least one stop on a bus route that starts with A, B, C, D, E, G, H, K, P, R, S, U, W, X

You can be evil and add in "N" as well. Would mean you'd have to do it over two days!

Hmmm. Doesn't sound like a terribly good idea, but who am I to judge?

20 or so years ago A-F would have been easily done in Reading. Reading Mainline lettered their routes instead of numbering them!

I'd just like to make it clear that I am absolutely down for bus challenges... in fact, I have a few ideas of my own
All London buses: 23 hours 25 minutes (with Adham, David, Josh and Tangy)
Holds some alternative challenge records. Not sure which ones.

My lack of knowledge of buses limits my creativity with challenges. If think up any challenges Hugo please share.

I mean, there's always a bus routes Random 15 (or probably a Random 10 given we'd want to complete within a day)...

Random 10 bus does sound good. Shame the number 10 bus itself doesn't run anymore!

You could use a bingo card for a bus challenge. First person to get a line or bingo! Lol

I've had one in the works for a while but I'd need enough people and also to know how long it'd take...

Would we ride the whole length of the route?

I was also wondering what the limitations of the challenge were. Is it just bus routes that serve central London? Do you have to do the whole route or just one stop? Are you allowed to use other public transport? Etc

London underground
London Overground

Tramway
And Dangleway!

At least 2 day challenge I'd say!

Add together all the record times for the tube, Overground, DLR etc... Comes to 30 hours 42 mins Image

I think anyone be lucky to do the challenge in 3 days!

But there are economies to be made from being able to interchange between different modes, even if you have to visit stations on each mode that they appear on separately.

For example, DLR Beckton to Royal Victoria, dangleway to North Greenwich, Jubilee to Canning Town, DLR to Stratford and Jubilee to West Ham will cover off that corner much quicker than doing those three modes individually.

Also, you need to include the Thames Clipper.

Thames Clipper shall NOT be included as
A, The Thames Clipper is NOT A TFL SERVICE and DOES NOT appear on the Tube Map.
B, The fees are ludicrously expensive.

A. The piers appear on the tube map (apart from Royal Wharf, Putney, Battersea, Cadogan and Wandsworth), and TFL provides route and service information through its apps and website.
B. It's not that expensive - just over £11 for unlimited travel (after widely available discounts).
