I just took a look at the Eastbourne (aka Beachy Head) marathon course. It's pretty hilly. Well done on finishing.

I wont really be making a big deal of next week but if anyone wants to join me for parkrun 200 it will be at a return visit to Roding Valley to meet my friend Mark Layzell and hopefully Iain is coming and Andi might be there?

I found this quite fascinating, and after I saw that my home course was in the "tougher" half of the table, I thought I would compare the home runs of all the tube challengers, to see if you lot were having an easier time of it than me

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

The result was, yes, mostly you are :P . Only Crunchy Saviour has a (much) tougher home course than I. I obviously appreciate that although Southsea is flat that the wind may slow you down slightly, but I wanted to see how we compared gradient wise :)

FYI, Parkrun does not (to my knowledge) publicly show your home course, so I looked at the results for the course most frequently run. A couple of people (highlighted) looked like they may have switched their home course recently so I took that instead, and another couple had only run once at different courses (differently highlighted), so judgement calls made there also.

As has been mentioned before by nozza, I'm pleased Lanhydrock is not my local!

I had to pass Kevin twice - just after I passed him the first time I had to go back for my dropped water bottle, then pass him again

You were trolling him right?

"Oh, I've just dropped my water bottle", "Oh no, my shoelace has come undone", "Need a quick rest here ..."

I wasn't, but it's a fun idea. I'm not sure I'd sacrifice a faster time for it though :)
