Another tubechallenge grudge match has been thrown up in the Carling Cup second round draw...

Gillingham v Blackburn Rovers at the krbs Priestfield Stadium on w/c 24th August.

Should be easy ;)

I also through various members of this forum like to follow the fortunes of Yeovil, Worthing, Ashford (not kent), and, strangely, Gillingham.

Also Halifax Town, who used to be in the football league and then went bust and got demoted about 500 divisions at once. That one's my grandad's fault though, not any Tube Challenger.

Are we going to get footbally again for Sport Relief next spring?
And the Browns also have a soft spot for "ooh arrr we are Exeter" :P

I certainly hope we go out again next spring but don't finish at Watord, that walk at the end of a long tiring day was ridiculous :(

Yeah, I don't get that Exeter thing myself.

What's wrong with Watford? It's a mere thirteen minutes' journey from Central London, which is more than I can say for Brentford.

I almost forgot about your Exeter soft-spot. You know they are visiting the Priestfield on Saturday 5th September? I shall still be based in Kent then so might well go, will there be any Browns who dare stop by ;)

Also, I am certainly up for another run around the london stadiums in the spring. Perhaps we should try and think of a different twist on it?

It would be some dedication to Exeter if the Browns were to travel back from Manchester to sit in the shocking away end at the Priestfield!! :D

Maybe instead of football grounds, we could visit other sporting venues in London. Places like Twickenham, Lords, The Oval, Wimbledon etc.

That's an interesting idea, but we'd need some kind of criteria for it.

Beg your pardon, fourteen minutes. Virgin Trains do Euston to Watford regularly in that time.

That may be so... but you cannot alight at WFJ on a Virgin, so really the best you could do is 16 minutes on a London Midland. :P

And it will take you another 14 minutes to walk from Watford Junction to Watford FC!
