Heathrow Tube Connection - 30 Years Old Today

It is exactly 30 years since the Piccadilly Line was extended to Heathrow.
At the time, it became the first Underground network in the world to link directly to a capital city's main international airport.

In 1977 the station was called Heathrow Central but was renamed Heathrow 1,2,3 in 1984, with opening of Heathrow Terminal 4 station.
