Charity Event

Post by petermiller36 »

Hello fellow Tubettes!

I'm doing a sponsored Charity event soon and wondered if you any of you kind souls wanted to sponsor me. Think of it as a bigger version of the Tube Challenge.

From August 18-24th, myself, Dave Guard and Matt Howell will be travelling 2,400 miles around the country visiting all 116 Premier League, Football League and Conference football clubs. At each ground we'll be taking photos and doing football juggling skills. We're raising money for The Kick Project, which uses football as a way of taking basic school lessons to young people that have been excluded from school.

The way we're doing it is that we're looking for people to sponsor us £10 and then nominate a club to sponsor (that way we raise £1,160). So get in quick for your team (Gillingham still available!!) or team thats close to a tube station!

Please visit the sponsor site: http://www.116challenge.blogspot.com

And please leave your comments about it on here. :)

How are you getting around all the grounds ... driving? And is there a record for doing all these in the fastest times already?

I'll be thinking of you having fun whist I'm sitting on a beach in Menorca.
Are you hoping to perform your football skills inside each ground? How many clubs responded so far?
One day I shall return!

Letters only went out a few days ago so only 5 days responsded thus far, and we're just planning on doing the skills outside the ground, unless we're allowed in of course.

Which stadium are you visiting in MK? The hockey stadium or the new one?

If I am around I would be glad to welcome you to the home of football ;)

And I see they're so popular that they've already been taken in your sponsorship. I'll happily sponsor you a tenner for this - sounds like good fun.

PP - yeah route was planned out 2 weeks ago.

Rik - Stadium:MK is the one that we're visiting. the new one. and the person who sponsored MK only did it out of spite cos she knows I dont like them. but its for charity so i'll grin and bear it.

Thank you for your support on this guys :)
