The flu

Post by Garion »

I've just been speaking to a friend on MSN Messenger and she told me that she, along with half of Cardiff, have it. I've had it since Saturday and I've been feeling very ill since then.
I then spoke to a friend in Ipswich and she told me that there is a bug going round there to.

I'm just wondering if this is a local or 'nation-wide' thing because both me and my nan are wondering who has it and where.

The symptoms include:
Shivering / sweating
Joint pain
Shooting pains in the back and arms
Lack of concentration

I have also experienced a lack of balance and been sleeping a lot of the time.

If you know anything, let me know. I'm curious to see how widespread this 'thing' is.

Thanks.

It may interest you to know that during October, similar symptoms sweep right across universities in Britain. It's known as freshers' 'flu, because all the little first years bring their germs with them when they arrive.

There was the Christmas/New Year vomiting bug going around London though a few weeks back. Made your hurl up and knock you out for a couple of days. I had it, it was nice. Not.

I've been to the doctor today and she told me that its a flu-like virus which is affecting half of Cardiff. Loads on MSN have it still and my college teacher told me that there were only 8 out of 19 in Physics today.

Pretty bad eh?

By the end of my physics A-level there were about 3 of us left. That sounds like good going!

Mad...

Had a cough and cold recently, but I got onto the tablets and medicine to sort out the problem. Few days later, it's all done. Job done!

Only thing I'm suffering from here is boredom in the Gateway to Work course...
