Yes, I've been playing that new Kings Cross - it's weird playing it the "other way round :-) Just as I'd got used to doing it from right to left ...

I'm not going to attempt a 1985 timetable yet - throwing loco run-rounds into the mix will require more layout familiarisation than I currently have.

Just to drag this one back up ... having read the revived West Hampstead thread on the Simsig forum, it would appear the be NX and not IECC, meaning it CAN be done.

Unless I've missed something ...

For those Simsig players among us, a new 1977 King's Cross timetable has just been released, effective 1st July 1977.

HST running did not commence on the ECML until October that year. This means that for 3 months the entire ECML express timetable was filled with locomotive-hauled trains, using the class 55's (Deltics). For those of us old enough to remember when BR used to run loco-hauled trains, this is a unique timetable. Other loco classes I've seen in this sim so far are 31's, 40's, 46's and 47's. They've even thrown in some 08 shunters!

This timetable is HARD. With all trains locomotive-hauled (except the local services), there are LOTS of light locomotive movements, meaning that you'll have to keep notes on what is where. The guy who wrote the timetable even included an Excel spreadsheet so you can keep an eye on which locos were in the sidings at King's Cross between services :)

I've played about 3 hours of this timetable from midnight onwards and it's already getting silly. And it's only 3am! God knows what it's going to like at 7am ...

Try it if you dare ...

Incidentally, does anyone who plays Simsig fancy a multiplayer game sometime?

I've never played MP before so it could be interesting ...

I've got quite a fat timetable which you may want to play on a multiplayer.

It's the default Saturday TT enhanced with express Peterborough - Moorgate services which rest at Welwyn Garden City for quite some time due to slack in the TT.

Yeah, my first idea was to ease myself into it by playing the weekend timetable.

I want to work up to 1977 :-) That should be fun ...

OK, time to bump this one up because ...

Clive at Simsig has created a simulation of the Waterloo and City line!

It's not exactly taxing, but good fun nonetheless.

Download it via this thread:

http://www.simsig.co.uk/discus/messages ... 1175420734

(You'll need the system files from the Simsig downloads page too, if you don't already have other Simsig simulations installed on your PC.

Enjoy!

For those who play Simsig, you won't be able to run it on ARS the whole time, because train 5C01 needs manual routing out of the depot to platform 25 at 07:31.

To play it properly, turn ARS off (right click the circle next to "SERVICE" at the top of the screen).
