First to 100000 in the 2015+ Tumbleweed contest. Winner of a few rounds of a diverse range of quizzes/games. Some decent times in alternative challenges as a fiftysomething who merely walks briskly. Briefly led All The Actons.

I've noticed that a lot off stations have reopened but are only open between 9am and 7pm Monday to Friday

A few months later on and we find ourselfs in the era of tiers.

The tier 2 guidance, which covers London (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/local-covid ... igh#travel) states "...you should and aim to reduce the number of journeys you make where possible".

So I'm guessing that challenging is out until further changes. Which may well be in the new year.

Quite a shame. I'd been planning to do my first Zone 1 on 7th November, as all the required stations would be open on a Saturday for the first time since March (possibly before that).

Visiting all the zone 1 stations in one go is reducing your number of journeys, compared with if you visited them all individually!

Whilst a group of us meeting up for a challenge (i.e. R15) is out of the question, the guidance doesn't explicitly stop you from going out and doing it yourself. Obviously this comes down to your own assessment of the risk involved in doing that. As I have stated before my personal concern is that whilst the risk of catching COVID-19 is minimal on public transport, the heightened awareness and concerns of fellow passengers/TfL staff/enforcement officers may not look too favourably upon people running around on the network for a perceived jolly (letter of guidance vs spirit of guidance).

Very well put, and I quite agree with you!

As some of you know, I was attempting the RSL challenge in the summer. I stopped doing any recce runs or challenges about six weeks ago as the tubes were just getting too busy. It was impossible to maintain social distancing even during the quieter times of day. During rush hour we now get strangers sitting next to each other rather than leaving a gap. Mask wearing seems to be variable - saw a lot of noses last time I was on the Central Line
Not a plus one

It probably doesn't need to be said, but for the sake of completeness (and to help me get into The Twilight Zone)...

Don't do any challenges until at least 2nd December. :(
