Scheduled steam returns

Post by GuyBarry »

Steam trains will be operating scheduled services on the Settle-Carlisle line for the next three days:

That's unless you're the newsreader on Radio 5 Live at about 5.10am today, who called it the "Seattle-Carlisle line". Rather a long journey!

Well I certainly won't be able to see...

I got excited though, as I'm staying in the proper Metroland now (in Croxley), so thought I could see some steam on the Met... :(

The late David Jenkinson built a series of model railways based on the Settle-Carlisle line (and fictional branches off it.

He also built a US-outline layout with his son, which they called the "Seattle-Carliol"!
