Teensy flaw in that argument - you can't change directly from the Metropolitan line to the District line, true, but you can change from a Metropolitan line station to the District line, by using a line other than the Metropolitan (specifically the Circle line).tubeguru wrote:The start station cannot be on the District or the Metropolitan.
Proof: you can't change from one to the other in one go, so they're both out as starting possibilities.
If the challenge was to find the specific platform that would take you to the most stations, then yes, anywhere on the H+C or Jubilee would probably be your best bet.

This is slightly confusing.
Why can't I get from, say, Stepney Green or Latimer Road to anywhere in one change or less?
I don't see why it is ONLY Baker Street to Liverpool Street and not the others if you are allowed at least ONE change somewhere.

Any station will have its argument butchered if you're in the mood. I'm not.
All of this is assuming a HSK - K(O) Shuttle and C&L- Chesham Shuttle of course.
Secondly, is there any more news about the MHE- Finchley Shittle?

Okay, so there are two shuttle services we have to take into account - Chesham and Olympia. So we have to be able to get to both Chalfont & Latimer and Earl's Court/HSK without changing, which is possible only from Baker Street.
It can't be South/East (Great Portland Street) of Baker Street because there is no off-peak service to Amersham or Watford. It can't be North (Finchley Road) of Baker Street because there is then no way to visit Olympia without changing twice.
Baker Street is the only answer, and it has already been said...
Perhaps the answer is - ANY of them. You can always walk.
