"Line" or "line"?
When I was a child the names of the Underground lines were spelt with a capital "L": Circle Line, Bakerloo Line and so on. Now they're spelt with a lower-case "l": Circle line, Bakerloo line etc. I'm told that the change was made in 1988. Can anyone confirm this and tell me why it was made?

No one at all? I thought this would be the type of trivia that Tube Challengers had at their fingertips.

I don't think there has been any such change. A quick search through the TfL website shows both Line and line being used.
