So - circular pianos, trampolines, twins, giant hamster wheels and bearded women. Good to see it's all about the music and not cheap gimmicks!

I will be out fortunately.
Music hasn't been about the music in any form for many years now ...
That is always clearly obvious. Russia got votes ... for example

Does the fact that a drag queen won annoy you? Would you have been as bothered if it was a real woman?

If a real woman had sang it then it wouldn't have won... The songs in 2nd and 3rd IMO were much better. And why keep saying "she" when the person is a he

Because when drag queens are in drag they usually prefer to be referred to by female pronouns. His/her Wikipedia page mentions this. It's a common enough thing with drag queens.

I think it's time to dispense with the jury panels and just make it a public vote.

In that case Austria would still have won by a bigger margin.

The jury system exists clearly to stop the public simply voting for novelty acts, and to retain a modicum of musical judging. This was proved this year in the case of Poland. The British public voted Poland its top choice, but the jury panel (comprised of music industry "experts") voted Poland last, thus thwarting the the "vote for breasts" movement!

Without the jury, and with phone voting ONLY, our top three would have been:

Poland - 12
Netherlands - 10
Austria - 8

instead of:

Austria - 12
Malta - 10
Netherlands - 8
