Safeguard Coaches 90th Anniversary

One for all you bus fans

Safeguard Coaches’ 90th Anniversary Open Day (its first ever!) will be held at its Guildford Park premises (GU2 7TH) on Saturday 29 March 2014, 10am to 4pm.

The event will be opened by the Mayor of Guildford. There will be no admission charge. We will have:



Family entertainment including live Jazz band, face painting, bouncy castle, tombola, lucky dip, bus washing etc;
demonstration of workshop vehicle lifts;
BBQ and specially commissioned Safeguard Ale for consumption and sale;
Free heritage bus rides to/from the Bus Station, Cathedral and the new Onslow Park & Ride (RFs, an RT and a New London Routemaster) every 15 minutes from 0945 to 1615 hours ;
Buses and coaches, new and old (including AEC 200APB and Leopard OPC26R), on display;
Launch of a new book celebrating the company’s first 90 years (£20.00), with the author on hand to sign books;
and more…..

This is a 100% charity event and all proceeds will be donated 50% to GOSH and 50% to the British Heart Foundation.
