1000 London Transport Destinations

Post by The Orange One »

1000 London Transport Destinations (no NR - although LO, Heathrow Connect and Metroland are a little dubious on that remark)

Although I am usually averse to glorification of the decimal system, this is pretty impressive. This is comprised of (in the order I thought it up):

544 London Bus Routes (discounting school, night, temporary and mobility)
270 London Underground Stations
41 DLR Stations (discounting Bank, Stratford, West Ham, Canning Town)
63 Overground Stations (discounting H&W-Queens Park, RIchmond-Gunnersbury, West Brompton, Ken O, H&I, Blackhorse Road, Barking, Stratford, Whitechapel and Canada Water)
38 Tramlink Stations (discounting Wimbledon)
31 TfL River Piers (following this map: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/ ... rs-map.pdf)
2 Terminals of the Emirates Air Line
3 Terminals of Heathrow Airport PRT (because it's impressive)
8 Stations on Heathrow Express/Connect (discounting Ealing Broadway)

Anyone want to think about the next 1000? I'll give you a head start (2 Terminals of the Millenium Inclinator).
All London buses: 23 hours 25 minutes (with Adham, David, Josh and Tangy)
Holds some alternative challenge records. Not sure which ones.
20½ Random 15 challenges: 01:58:48 best
That guy who runs those Twitter polls about tube stations and London Boroughs.
