The Tube Challenger's Christmas Carol Book

Post by RobbieM »

With just 47 sleeps until Christmas at the time of writing, I guess you know what to do. Here's a couple to start us off:

Oh Little Town of Bethnal Green

It is not Christmas yet, nor is it anywhere near it. Thread locked.

Once in Waterloo and City
I'm Dreaming of a White City
O Becon Tree
Rudolph the Redbridge Reindeer

But something I've been working on for quite a while:

I don't care a lot for Christmas,
There is just one thing I need,
I don't care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas Tree
I just want you all to know
Sun or wind, come hail or snow
Make my wish come true...
All I want for Christmas... is a Good Service!

A man has jumped beneath a train
(we don't know how) at Bermondsey
And this has caused severe delays
Down the entire Jubilee
Victoria line is Part Suspended
From King's Cross to Walthamstow
And no trains down the Piccadilly
From Northfields to Heathrow

Overground and DLR
Don't forget the cable car
Make my wish come true...
All I want for Christmas is a Good Service!

The Central Line at Shepherds Bush:
The trains cannot get round that bend,
The barrier's down at Beckenham Road
So Tramlink 2 to Elmers End
The morning peak hits Central London
Sub-surface can't take the load
We'll have to ditch the Circle Line
From Edgware Road to Edgware Road

Northern Line at Camden Town
Waterloo and City down
What more can I do?
All I want for Christmas is a Good Service!

(ooohhoohh)

There's been a signal failure on the H&C,
Eastbound trains are terminating short in Platform 3,
And the District Line is reeling,
Richmond trains divert to Ealing
TfL please give me what I really need
(and an exhibition service too, that would be great)

There's trouble on the Watford DC
Overground train's caught alight
The Bakerloo line trains can't get past
Stonebridge Park without a fight
The points are jammed at Rayners Lane
The Piccadilly's blocked the way
So no Met trains to Uxbridge
While we sort out this surprise delay

Overground and DLR
Messed up this GWR
Make my wish come true...
All I want for Christmas is a Good Service!

(echoes...)
