Everyone loves a 'your favourite X poll', right?
Growing up with the prequels, I think it is better to see them from Phantom Menace through to Return of the Jedi, not in the order they were made (IV, V, VI, I, II, III). I seem to be in the minority of Star Wars fans that enjoy Phantom Menace. Revenge of the Sith has to be the best by far though. The story is fast yet detailed, serves as a great narrative bridge between the end of Episode II and the start of Episode IV, and for THAT duel on Mustafar between Vader and Obi-Wan. Oh, and THAT duel between Yoda and Sidious. Well, I say duel, more like a 'who-can-destroy-the-senate-quicker' contest. About the friendship and flowers that is the 'original trilogy', I think that IV suffers the same problem as Episode II - too much exposition, not enough action (although the story is well-paced).
It would help if Phantom Menace, New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi were judged on the ORIGINALS and not the special editions.

Re: Star Wars
As a child of the early '70s, I grew up with the original three films, and consider The Empire Strikes Back to be the best of the three. Didn't think much of the newer ones, even though they complete the story.
