I don't know if they are still running the temporary "5km" course which I think might be somewhat nearer 5.3km!

Ithcen Valley parkrun if you fancy it Nick?
That may depend on the weather. Forecast is absolutely dreadful. I'd anticipate a mud-fest at Itchen Valley (I've been to that park) and I wouldn't be surprised if several parkruns across the country are cancelled.

We lost at least three (Lancing BG, Hove Prom, East Brighton) down here!

Good to see GU and roblo at Itchen Valley, but, yep, it was an absolute mud-fest. Fortunately the weather was not as bad as forecast, but it was definitely the toughest parkrun I've done. Ticked off letter I on the Alphabet Challenge :) .

Interesting course that will probably be good in the summer months. Part woodland trail, part grass around fields, and with some but not too many ups and downs.

Great to see Nick and Rob today and echo that I have never seen so much mud and was the toughest parkrun I have ever done which is confirmed with my slowest ever time. Can't see my bronze medal here lasting long 🤣

Strange Parkrun coincidences today the leas Parkrun on isle of sheppey is almost identical looking to Whitstable a bit down the coast. Rosemary Egbe whom was there last week at salcey forest turned up at this one too spooky. And a guy doing 100 differant out of 100 parkruns actually comes from worthing and knows Mr soup dragon😲 a great Parkrun would have been so much better in nice warmer conditions arthritis really suffered today. But a fantastic pub near finish that serves alcohol is a excellent bonus

Awesome to see Kev and Nick at Itchen Valley today. Thankfully the rain stopped just before we got there although some parts of the course were seriously hard to run so I just walked them! The trail was pretty nice to run on I thought and I think the decision to have a hose set up to wash the mud off was a brilliant idea, especially as most of the others in Hampshire had seemingly been cancelled this morning due to the weather! Many thanks to Kev for the lift to and from the park!!

Yes, I've been ill for all of February and still haven't recovered yet.
I did my first ever tail walk at the beginning of the month, and have been gradually trying to get my form back.
Indeed it was the 'B' Course which I measured as 5.31km on Strava, it seemed odd that they all seemed to know it's a long course,
why not just adjust the finishing funnel to account for this?

Just had an email from parkrun saying that they are being cancelled with immediate effect.

As per the email: “We’re writing to let you know that, in line with public health advice, we have taken the decision to close all parkrun events across the UK with immediate effect. Initially, this closure will be in place until the end of March, however this is largely to bring all parkrun countries into the same time frame and we very much expect closures to continue through April at least.”
