Quick trip up the Thameslink to St Albans, which is a really pretty course with PB potential. I did wonder if I might bump into Mr Chilcraft en route to Jersey Farm, but it wasn't to be.

First time I forgot my trainers shock! A borrowed pair from my friend whom I beat by 3 yards at finish line. And a reasonable nice course hilly at points but rewarding 3 lapper of Thornbury Parkrun my 1st ever Parkrun run with a girlfriend :o.

I think more Parkruns in Monmouth area will be done. But Tonbridge next week

Well I did miss parkrun this week but had fun playing cards on the train down to Littlehampton - Think I might take a spin around the M25 to cyclopark parkrun Gravesend next week 8)

Accidentally got a new PB this week! Wanted to better my course PB back at Hove Prom for the 4th birthday/250th celebration for a mate, but still wanted to keep Lancing Beach Green as my overall PB. I missed the 14 second window for that, but in the best way possible - I took seven seconds off my 5k/parkrun PB!

Which means next time I'm at Lancing I'll have to push myself a bit further to make that my fastest again, but I've got it in me - the soreness in my legs suggests that I've been taking it a bit easier before this weekend!

This weeks highlights 13th July

12 runners this week
3 new courses, Nobles, Portrush and Thornbury

Jamesthegill sets a new PB at Hove Promenade in 26:41
tpfkar sets a SB at Milton Keynes in 23:47
Soup Dragon ran a CB at East Brighton in 20:39, claiming a top ten finish in the process (6th)
Andi also a top ten, with 8th place at Thornbury in a time of 22:28

Plenty of action in the medals table:
The first medals at St Albans are, Tractakid (GOLD), Going Underground (SILVER), Iain (BRONZE)
At Ally Pally, xcooler123 claims his second (GOLD), pushing Tractakid to (SILVER) and scrxisi to (BRONZE), nozzacook is out of the medals.
At Jersey Farm, Tractakid moves into (SILVER), leaving Geofftech with (BRONZE), Going Underground is out of the medals.
At Letchworth, Das moves into (BRONZE), meaning that A2 loses his only medal

Well I was excpecting a flat tarmac path being a cycle track at Cyclopark and it wasn't!
2 laps out and back slightly uphill / flat for a few hundred metres theen you turn go back past the start / finish and it's mainly downhill for 3/4 mile before turning and back up the slope and then doing it all a second time... Really is a struggle on the second lap once you have turned for the final time - Also we got drenched on the pre-run brief and then eased a little and the rain was running down the path like a small stream + top is saturated and very heavy!! - Hope your 100th venue went well Iain :D

It was great thanks :D

A bit like Mile End in that it's an out and back with a loop at the end, but only one repeat. Several quite narrow bridges that got a bit tight once the whippets started the return trip, but a lovely course that I really enjoyed.

Mandy thanks to Andi and xcooler for joining me.

I'm going the rein in my touristing for a bit - it's taking more and more of my Saturdays and frankly it's getting to the stage where I could do with more time. I may even NOT DO PARKRUN AT ALL next Saturday!

Glad to have joined you at Tonbridge and echo your thoughts on the course. Not a PB course by any stretch but a really nice course and would definitely recommend. Happy with a time of 26:55 as I walked with Ian and Andi for the first bit (let the crowds thin out first, would definitely recommend this strategy) and the nature of the course.

I have a week off next week due to being in Belgium for the Spa 24hrs sportscar race but will hopefully be back in August.
