Quite, they're unofficial, but having said that it isn't recognised now as a Z by the (unofficial) browser add on, which is widely used. There was a lot of frustration on the facebook groups about that, as although it too is unofficial, it's got a certain weight behind it due to the numbers using it.

Cranleigh wasn't too cross-country when I did it a few weeks ago, but that's a good time on quite a twisty course

Finally managed to get back to doing Parkruns and did Brockwell this morning. Nice course with some undulations but a combination of tiredness in the legs from work, searing heat and making the extremely stupid rookie mistake of not taking in any liquids before running meant for my slowest Parkrun time ever of 27:28. Still, good to be running again after a few weeks out :D

Quick trip to Tilgate, which is a gorgeous park with a lake and forest trails, although a lot of the course is on tarmac. Unusual in that a quick section is on a road into the carpark/elsewhere within the park, and there's a couple of marshalls to hold traffic. First time also I've heard a tape loop (probably digital tbh) with instructions about dogs on leads etc. and what seemed to be a rap about parkrun.

About 600 people today on the 1.5 lap figure of eight course. I was too hot so headed home, but there were good refreshment facilities too.

After my recent bit of tourism I was looking at my nearest event not done yet which is Tamar Trails 66 miles away. Or in my case train, bus and a run to get there.
Edit actually Coach at 3:45, train ,bus then walk. So is doable if I fancy pulling my carcass out of bed at 2:45 in the morning.

Was going to do it the other way round, but it's tricky for Andy.

Going to reduce my touristing after that - fancy a few weeks with more of my Saturday free

Another lovely morning for the Ally Pally Parkrun. Great course with the testing 2 stage hill at the east side of the course meaning it was never going to be a fast one today. However, a much better run than last week (I remembered to hydrate for starters!) so I'm happy with my time of 25:55
