Secrets of the Waterloo and City line might be a bit short though?

Why is Ealing Broadway the western terminus and why is it the West Ruislip branch? A similar number of trains go to both, West Ruislip is much, much further west than Ealing Broadway and the Ealing Broadway route only has two stops - as opposed to the seven on the route up to West Ruislip - meaning it makes more sense the other way around. Is there a historical reason for this, or am I just demeaning your home station?

Because the Ealing Broadway part was part of the Central line before the West Ruislip part.
