Piece of piss. This lot did it in 75 hours in 2011: http://92grounds92hours.blogspot.co.uk/
(And yes, I know the clubs have changed slightly since then, but I doubt it would take any longer than two years ago).

Re: 92 football grounds in 92 hours
We almost did this last year as our charity challenge but opted for the Tube Challenge instead after having issues sourcing a vehicle (didn't want to put 2500 miles on my car in 4 days!!!)
It is completely do-able, and in well under 92 hours. There are loads of examples of people who have done it like the one above. We had a route planned and reckoned we could even get a couple of games in on the way round.
Maybe it's time to think about it again.

I'm sure Watford - Brighton is not the optimal route so you could probably do it even quicker if you did something like Plymouth - Carlisle.

If Plymouth and Torquay had both been relegated this season, you could have started at Exeter and saved yourself a couple of hours!

Re: 92 football grounds in 92 hours
If doing this alone would it be possible though 75 hours / 4 = 18.75 hours up in a 24 hour period only 5 hours sleep per night?

You'd probably be advised against doing it on your own.palkanetoijala31 wrote:If doing this alone would it be possible though 75 hours / 4 = 18.75 hours up in a 24 hour period only 5 hours sleep per night?

Re: 92 football grounds in 92 hours
We figured that starting in Plymouth and finishing in Carlisle was basically cheating.
We calculated a route starting and finishing at the same place (Southampton).
We factored in a single 6 hour sleep stop half way through, with 4 people working in rotation you'd do 3 hours driving, 3 hours navigation and then 6 off to sleep/rest.

I wasn't aware that there were rules which stated where you had to start and finish. The idea is to visit all the grounds in 92 hours, regardless of start and finish points.Urzzz1871 wrote:We figured that starting in Plymouth and finishing in Carlisle was basically cheating.

Is it cheating to start a full network at Amersham or Heathrow

There are always arbitrary rules in this game. Just ask the Browns after Guinness ruled against world records being set on weekends.tubeguru wrote:I wasn't aware that there were rules which stated where you had to start and finish. There aren't, but it's not really a challenge if it's too easy is it? It would be like setting a 4 hour time limit for the DLR challenge.
We started thinking of ways to make it harder/more quirky i.e 4 rather overweight guys, we considered buying a Fiat Cinquecento for the ride.
We settled on making it a round trip, starting and finishing at St Mary's Stadium. Plus we tried to get in at least 2 matches on the way round.
Still, it got shelved as I said, due to vehicle issues.

If you've got an issue with it not being a challenge, then try to do it in 72 hours.Urzzz1871 wrote:There aren't, but it's not really a challenge if it's too easy is it? It would be like setting a 4 hour time limit for the DLR challenge.

Re: 92 football grounds in 92 hours
My RE teacher did this in 2011 with his friend. They started out at the club his friend supports (Arsenal) and finished at the club he supports (Walsall). They did it in a week.
