Things to do in London

Post by snudge27 »

I'm off to London tomorrow, and will have an afternoon to kill.

Having, obviously, done all of the obvious stuff, is there anything you guys can suggest for me to do that won't break the bank?

A Z1? Or is that an obvious one that you've already done?

Go to North Greenwich and do the new cable car. Think it was £4.20 each way (less if you have a network card).
Current best: 19:51:10 (2014). Hopefully that will be broken in 2018 :-)

I can think of nothing worse than spending all day on the tube ...

Seeing as I want to be somewhat fresh for the friend I'm meeting later in the afternoon, running around the tube is a no.

The ArabFly Dangleway is certainly on the list, though!

Arabfly Dangleway! (if you don't mind heights, and you don't mind being swayed around in the wind!)

Go on one of the river services - if you have a travelcard you get a discount, and you get to see lots of bits of the river you wouldn't normally do (and they go from North Greenwich!)

Museum of London is a good one too!

What is it with people calling each other plebs these days? Is a Government minister's behaviour really THAT influential?

Hmm, I reckon you're in labour, because you seem to like contractions.

Yeah yeah, I saw that too. How remiss of me. I shall go and shoot myself in the head right away.
