I love that map WV "Reading to London via Surbiton" doesn't actually have Reading on it anywhere.

Similarly, Derby and Nottingham are conspicuous in their absense from map XA "Derby, Nottingham and South Yorkshire".
2 attempts

Is this the new FGW drivers' uniform, by the way?

Well, they're unlikely to keep the GW franchise now, so we may get something like this.

Which, in case you didn't know, is my wife's name!

What a co-incidence! Well, I'm sure she'd do a great job running both an underwear company and a railway company. With several disciplines, perhaps she's taking after Richard Branson ...

However, if Richard Branson were to get the GW franchise, you may have 'Virgin' on your new 'uniform'... :D

If Virgin were to win the GW franchise, it would indeed be miraculous given that they didn't bid for it ...

Just found this crazy example. I like it, it starts with a walk from 2 stations sharing a placename, ends with a walk from 2 stations sharing a placename and has a walk from 2 stations sharing a placename in the middle.

Walk 05:07 Walthamstow Queens Road [WMW] Walthamstow Central [WHC]
05:19 0h 12m

.

Train 05:19 Walthamstow Central [WHC] Hackney Downs [HAC]
05:28 0h 09m

Greater Anglia service from Chingford to London Liverpool Street show calling points

Walk 05:28 Hackney Downs [HAC] Hackney Central [HKC]
05:42 0h 14m

Train 05:55 Hackney Central [HKC] Dalston Kingsland [DLK]
05:57 0h 02m

London Overground service from Stratford (London) to Richmond (London)

Walk 05:57 Dalston Kingsland [DLK] Dalston Junction [DLJ]
06:07 0h 10m
